Who are We?
We are long time lovers of God the Father; the Messiah Jesus, God's son; the Holy Spirit, and their beloved Holy Bible and anything else that is of our Holy God.
Clifford Besson is the director, Reverend Wilhelm Janzen of Winnipeg is the assistant director, and sister Anne  is our treasurer.
We have practiced fasting and praying at times. One of us even fasted forty days in order to get closer to God, to get greater answers to prayers, and to get more help from God for the ministry of Truth and Light.

Clifford Robert Besson

Brother Besson is our Director. He was encouraged by God, his friends of the Canadian League of Rights, and dire political circumstances, to start doing something to awaken the people of Winnipeg about what was going on behind the scenes politically.  So in January 1980, Mrs. Julie Manders and Cliff Besson, both of Winnipeg, started the Freedom Canada weekly community television program. After some years the name was changed to Truth and Light and Mrs. Manders and her husband Sid moved to British Columbia. Cliff then carried on the program alone but by 1986, with the help of other friends, the Truth and Light program developed into Truth and Light Ministries Inc.
For about nineteen years, Cliff worked as a missionary amongst the natives in north-western Ontario at a number of Indian Reservations (I. R.) or First Nations and in native churches in places like Sioux Lookout, Balmertown, Savant Lake, Sandy Lake (I. R.), Whitefish Bay (I. R.), New Osnaburgh (I. R.), and one or more other places.
At times, Cliff has worked at the Lighthouse Mission in Winnipeg, gone door to door, given out Gospel tracts, prayed for the sick,  distributed food and other needed items to the poor, and lately, been working on some writing projects. He also has been ministering amongst the Metis and natives in the Camperville-Pine Creek First Nations area, especially at the only Gospel Church in Camperville, Manitoba that of Senior Pastor Gertie Bone and her son, Pastor Lorne Bone and his wife Susan Bone.

Reverend Wilhelm Janzen

Rev. Janzen is our Assistant Director who helped brother Cliff Besson keep the ministry going when he and brother Fred McClellan moved to Ethelbert, Manitoba. Cliff had been helping brother Janzen with his Interdenominational Revival Program Inc. (IRP Inc.) for about twenty years as their treasurer and park ministry director at Memorial Park, Winnipeg, while brother Janzen went over seas as a missionary to Africa, India, Pakistan, Cuba, and the Philippines.  Through his Gospel tract ministry, his evangelistic crusades, his training of converts and pastors, and his efforts at starting new churches, there are now possibly twenty churches that were started over seas, either directly or indirectly through his ministry for God and the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Lately, brother Janzen, has been singing and playing his accordion at the Lighthouse Mission in Winnipeg, Manitoba and at some churches in Winnipeg. He now lives at Irene Baron Eden Centre, #3-1385, Molson Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba (phone (204) 239-6753).

Brother Frederick Melville McClellan (deceased)
our former treasurer
Brother Fred had been going to church since he had been a child, ever since someone started to bring him to a Sunday School at a United Church in Galt, Ontario. He started to read the Bible when he was about ten years old and had been reading and studying ever since. Fred went on to be with his Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus on 30 January 2011 at 6:20 p. m. at 94 years old. In May or June of 2005 he came down with prostrate cancer. After spending nearly three weeks in hospitals (Dauphin and Brandon), Fred was sent home to die but in answer to prayer, God had Henry Klassen of Boissevain Manitoba give Cliff Besson, his partner, a super diet against cancer and tumors. This diet checked the flow of blood and gradually killed the cancer cells while he followed the diet.
Mainly because of this diet, Fred was doing great. His doctor was quite surprised that he was doing so good, especially at his age.of 88 to about 92. For more information on this diet and for special recipes in order to stay cancer free, see our Health page for information on obtaining the book and diet plan of Colonel Joe Hart.
Brother Fred had been helping Cliff with his ministry in Ethelbert, in Camperville, and at Garland, Manitoba. He was one of our good prayer warriors and gospel tract distributors. God only knows how many have come to know Jesus through the hundreds of gospel tracts that he distributed in Dauphin, Ethelbert, and other towns and cities in Canada.

Sister Anne (nee Saley)

Our sister Anne Saley and Cliff Besson met at a church in Dauphin a few years ago and they have been good friends ever since. Anne enjoys lively gospel singing and likes to visit the shut ins. Lately Anne and Cliff started Truth and Light’s New Testament Sabbath-day Church at the former McKay Indian School, now Parkland Crossing building complex in Dauphin, Manitoba. This building is managed nicely by a Church of Christ in Dauphin. This building also houses the Dauphin Food Bank. As the name suggests, our church services are held on Saturday mornings, the seventh day of the week, just as the early Christians did.
Anne offered to be our treasurer shortly after Frederick McClellan passed away, has been of great help setting up our church services, and even helps to run our video camera.
Anne is also the proud mother of one daughter Jasmine and her son-in-law Jeff and her two grand-children Tristan, who will be four in April, 2011.and Tessa, who will be one in April, 2011. At the moment, she is single.

A Warning from God
by E. J. A.  of  Messenger And Watchman of the Night

A WARNING FROM GOD’S
HOLY WORD

Are “natural disaster” the impersonal workings of “Mother Nature” or can they be important messages from God?  Disastrous calamities are sometimes called “acts of God” but what is God’s role in floods, droughts, Famines, and earthquakes that affect our world?

Does the Bible have anything to say about the strange weather patterns we’ve been experiencing in the last few years, the liked our aged men and women have never seen before?

God says to people of North America and the world that they have been weighed in the balance of God’s justice and have been found guilty.

There is a terrible food shortage and other calamities soon coming upon us where millions will die of starvation, diseases and pestilences, less we repent of our sins and walk in God’s righteousness. This includes Canada as well as the United States of America.

(Read Isaiah 29:6; 24:1-12, 17-23; Revelation 6:8)

No nation on earth has been blessed as North America. But Canada and the United States of America have turned a deaf ear to the gospel and provoked God to anger by not heeding His warnings and living any way they choose. Therefore, severe judgment is inevitable. The sins that will bring the judgments of God upon us are the same sins that brought judgments on past civilization. Here they are: The shedding of innocent blood through (murder and abortion), pride, all sexual sins, including pornography and all unlawful sexual acts and lustful material on the internet, also, abominable idolatries, violence, prosperous ease, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, refusing to help the poor and needy. And for most of these people, God is the last thing on their minds.

GOD’S JUDGMENT IS HERE

Natural forces have become God’s supernatural instrument of judgment. But before God does anything He sends watchmen with

Warnings to avert judgment. In the days of Sodom God appointed Lot who begged the Sodomites not to be so wicked, but the men of Sodom wouldn’t hear anything Lot had to say. Therefore, judgment followed. (Read Genesis 19:1-11).  Here is what David Wilkerson has to say in his book “Racing towards judgment”.  He says: “God does not sit as an unconcerned spectator when judgment falls. It comes from His mind, by His hands. Judgment is God at work.” (See Amos 3:6; Isaiah 32:39).  God says he will do “a work in our days” which people won’t believe it even if they are told and warned about it.” Habakkuk 1:5, my emphasis added).  God is a merciful God who is more than willing to show mercy and forgive our sins if we repent,  (Psalms 86:5; and if we repent, God says He will not send judgment, but a blessing instead. (Joel 2:12-14).

GOD WILL DEAL WITH EVERYONE BEFORE HE RETURNS

God will not only deal with the nations of the world, but also with each  individual. The reason is; so that people will turn away from their sins and serve God. Farmers, please heed this warning. If your fields are under water, or if the drought is so severe you cannot get a crop from your land, then ask yourself,  “Am I serving the Lord the way I should?” “Am I putting Him first in my life?” I am warning everyone who will read this, not just farmers, this warning is for everyone who rejects the Word of God and the fact that God controls everything, including our very existence. This warning is for the business people as well as the poor. He will deal with the priests, the rabbis, and ministers of the gospel who preach a false gospel with no power to save. He will deal with the workers and their employers, the buyers and the sellers, the borrowers and the lenders, the violent and the murderers, with fornicators and adulterers, and those who promote or use pornography on the Internet to fulfill their beastly lust. He will deal with those who are lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, and all those who have no time for God.  Also, with all those who steals, lies and cheats, and last, but not least, idolatry, almost every sin hinges on the sin of idolatry. The sin of idolatry is the sin where we put or place anything before God, whether it is our business, our families, sports or any other thing we put before God.  (Now carefully read, Isaiah 24:1-12).  And murderers and those who shed innocent blood through the processes of abortion where millions die every year will not go unpunished. God will put an end to all witchcraft, including fortune telling, horoscope and all unclean things people have in their homes.  (Micah 5:12). There is not a single living person in the world, other than God’s messengers, who can reveal what is coming in the future and how to prepare. Not one! Only those who truly walk with God have any knowledge of what will happen, (See John 7:17; 8:43; Mark 4:11, 25).  Neither should one put his trust in the clamoring voices from government and businesses. Believe not their promises or projections. Trust not in the economists or so-called experts who spew forth messages they hope will become self-fulfilling. (Jeremiah 23:28).  God has given men a choice, to serve Him or the choice to reject Him. Millions are living any old way they choose, thinking nothing bad can ever happen to them. In fact, when one reads the obituary columns in the newspapers or online, it is obvious that most people believe they are going to heaven when they die. I never read of anyone believing their departed loved ones are gone to hell or that they would be separated from God forever because of the way they lived their lives.  At any rate, there is a day of reckoning and retribution coming. In fact, it is here already. What are we going to do when the Lord Vengeance fall on our own family? (Proverbs 11:21; Isaiah63:4). Please! I urge everyone who reads this not to delay any longer, because there is a day coming where people will want to pray and turn to the Lord, but it will be too late and God is not going to answer them. (Proverbs 1:24-33).  It is the Lord God who “turns rivers into a wilderness and a water spring into dry ground, a fruitful land into bareness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.” (Psalms 107:33,34).
When our bread is cut-off, then what?

Thus says the Lord: “Son of man, when the people of the land sin by trespassing grievously, then will lay out my hand upon it, and will break the staff of bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it.” Ezekiel 14:13; 16:49. While the Lord will send unbelievable rainfall and flooding in many areas, He will as well send severe drought in other areas where nothing will grow, it will be so dry there is no way to describe it. These are not my words, if they were, you would do well to ignore them. This is the Word of our Eternal God, which He spoke through the prophet Joel. God will send an army of locusts upon the land the liked we’ve never seen before. There will be no crops anywhere to feed us. No more grain or grapes on the vines. Sadness will be on people’s faces everywhere. Many of the greedy ministers of the gospel will starve, they will cry for help and will find none.  The fields will be bare of crops.  Well may you farmers stand so shocked and stricken; Weep for the wheat and barley too, for they are gone. The grapevines are dead; the fig trees are dying; the pomegranates withered; the apples shrivel on the trees; and all joy has withered also. You priests and ministers of God, lie all night before the alter, weeping, because there is no more offering for them. The cattle of the field are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yes, the flocks of sheep are made desolate, they are starving to dead.  It will be a terrible time, forest fire will be out of control because it is so dry. Strong thunderbolts will start many forest fires which are send by the hand of Almighty God. People’s herds will cry also because the rivers are dried up and uncontrollable forest fire will rage through towns and wilderness and everything will be burned up. (Joel 1:1-20).    Note: I have paraphrased these verses here in Joel’s prophecy, so the reader will see clearly what the Lord is really saying to mankind everywhere.

(TURN TO GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, JOEL 2:12)

You can avoid all the calamities, vengeance, and wrath of God we’ve predicted here by repenting from your sins and turning to serve the living God who loves you and died for you. If you don’t know how to be saved, feel free to request our free literature on “What Must I Do To Be Saved”, and we will send it to you by return mail.

If you believe this message is from God, make additional copies and pass them around in your church or nationhood, or better yet, if you have a computer you may want to email this most urgent message to your friends and ask them to do the same.

God has blessed me through the years by opening my spiritual eyes to His Word, and He says that “TO HIM THAT MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH WILL BE REQUIRED.” Luke 12:48. A few years ago the Lord spoke to me directly, asking me to deliver this message to as many as I could. The first thing that came into my mind was, how? I’ve got no money to print hundreds of copies to send to people, plus the cost of stamps, envelops, etc.  But then He showed me that all I needed to do was to make this available on the Internet, where thousands, even millions eventually could have access to reading it. I praise His Name for this. So if everyone who reads this message does the same, in no time we will reach many who have no idea what is coming very soon upon mankind. God bless you as you read and heed His Word.
